The Endeavor Canada Community grows with the addition of Katherine Homuth of SRTX

Katherine Homuth, Founder and CEO of SRTX, was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur at Endeavor’s 98th International Selection Panel (ISP) that took place in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam.

Following three days of interviews, panel deliberations, and networking with peers and mentors from across Endeavor’s global network, Katherine became the newest Endeavor Entrepreneur and the first woman CEO from Canada to join the network.

SRTX is a materials and technology company disrupting the hosiery industry with its impossibly-strong pantyhose. Launched in 2017, SRTX aimed to solve the problem of women’s tights’ susceptibility to rips and ladders. SRTX is best known for its first technology, Sheertex, a knit made from one of the world’s strongest polymers (used in bulletproof vests and climbing equipment), to prolong the lifespan of tights. Since its founding, SRTX has grown to a team of 270+ skilled professionals and operates two large-scale manufacturing facilities in Canada. The company sold 1.6M+ pairs of tights in 2023. Looking forward, SRTX is innovating beyond the hosiery industry, expanding from its initial rip-resistant tights product to become a consumer-recognized apparel component.

“Selecting Katherine to join Endeavor’s global network is a major milestone for Endeavor Canada. She embodies the ‘Dream Big’ mentality of our organization and her impressive achievements at SRTX to date put her in a position to be able to multiply her impact as a role model in Endeavor’s local and global network of entrepreneurs.” – Susan Anderson, Board Chair of Endeavor Canada

In Vietnam, Katherine met with six mentors from across Endeavor’s global network who served as panelists: Joanna Rees of West Ventures, Oliver Rippel of Asia Partners, Rob Coneybeer of Shasta Ventures, Giang Pham of Genetica, Christopher Schroeder of Next Billion Ventures, and Vu Lam of Katalon. Katherine was welcomed into the Endeavor network by unanimous vote after spending several days receiving feedback and offers of support from her panelists and the over 80 mentors, entrepreneurs, and Endeavor staff in attendance. Throughout the interview process, panelists were impressed by the growth of SRTX since founding in 2017 and its evolution from the production of a single consumer product to the opening of a new factory in 2024. However, it was Katherine’s resilience as an entrepreneur that made the biggest impression.

“She is the definition of persistence beats resistance.” – Joanna Rees

Along her path towards selection, Katherine received support and feedback from the Endeavor Canada Board including Susan Anderson of Digital Commerce Bank, Chen Fong of Pureweb, Chris Huskilson, Interim CEO of Algonquin, Jim Estill of Danby Appliances, Joanna Harries, SVP of Global Expansion at Endeavor Global, Mike Mannix of Band Capital Partners, Paul Desmarais III of Sagard, and Dennis Bennie of XDL Capital. She also had the opportunity to meet with Endeavor Entrepreneur Diego Arroyo of Don’t Worry in Mexico, Susan Saideman, former VP of Amazon Fashion EU, and Endeavor’s Co-founder and CEO, Linda Rottenberg.

This is just the beginning of Katherine’s journey with Endeavor and we are excited to support SRTX through the next stages of its growth. Thank you to all of our mentors and community members who shared their knowledge and experiences embodying Endeavor’s “Pay it Forward” mentality. Huge congrats to Katherine on being selected to join the Endeavor Entrepreneur community.
